Information: Facial Veins

Facial veins are permanent dilations of the small superficial blood vessels on the face. Regular, long term exposure to the sun and wind are the most common causes of facial veins. Heredity, hormones, disease, and excessive alcohol may also be contributing factors.

Revolutionary new laser technology has made it possible to remove facial veins safely without leaving a scar. Some lasers break the tiny vessels into fragments which are then removed by the body’s natural cleansing mechanism leaving behind normal skin. Other lasers seal the vessels so the blood can no longer flow through them. These lasers are particularly useful for deeper, larger vessels in the face.
